TEHRAN: President Asif Ali Zardari has held wide ranging talks with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on bilateral and regional issues in Tehran, Dispatch New Desk (DND) reported.
The President who arrived Tehran this afternoon on a two-day official visit also discussed regional peace and stability in the context of Afghanistan.
Both the leaders who held one on one meeting before delegation level talks also consulted implementation of mega projects to be completed in Pakistan with Iranian assistance.These projects include Pak-Iran gas pipeline and provision of cheap electricity to some parts of Balochistan.
They agreed to finalize these projects at the earliest which will go a long way in the development of Pakistan and overcoming energy crisis.
President Zardari will also call on Iranian Supreme spiritual leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenai during his stay in Teheran.
