Pakistan, Iran agree to hold joint economic commission soon

WASHINGTON: In a bid to consolidate bilateral cooperation, Pakistan and Iran have agreed to hold the joint economic commission in Islamabad soon.

The consolidation of bilateral cooperation was agreed between the leaderships of the two countries with particular focus on development of gas pipeline and electricity.

The federal minister for finance Ishaq Dar held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali Tayyebnia on the sidelines of World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) meetings in Washington at which they discussed matters of mutual interest.
