LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan Army organised a programme “Know Your Army” for students to enhance the morale, motivation and confidence of youth on Thursday.

According to ISPR, a large group of students and faculty members of University of Lahore spent a day out with troops of Lahore Garrison. The day long programme was aimed at imparting self-defence skills and also to enlighten youth on state of operational preparedness of Pak-Army.

The programme started with wreath laying ceremony at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. The students placed flowers as a mark of tribute to the heroic deeds of the men of Pak Army and offered fateha.

Later, they witnessed a combat demonstration by Quick Reaction Force and commended the agility and fighting capability of the troops.

They were also imparted technical know how in weapon handling and small arms fire skills.

The day long programme culminated with flag lowering ceremony at Pak-India joint check post at Ganda Singhwala.

The students were thrilled by smart turnout and bearing combined with immaculate drills by troops of Pakistan Rangers.

They were captivated by highly charged crowd at the venue, chanting full throated slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.

The students evinced keen interest in the programme and lauded the professionalism and resolve of Pakistan Army officers and troops for defending the motherland.
