KARACHI:  The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday allowed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate on PS-73 Murad Ali Shah to contest the upcoming elections.

A three-member bench, comprising Justice Maqbool Bakar, Justice Abdul Rasool Memon and Justice Farooq Shah heard the appeal of Shah against rejection of his nomination papers by the Election Tribunal.

Meantime, Shah’s counsel informed the court that his client had withdrawn Canadian nationality prior to the announcement of elections schedule.

On this, the bench annulled Election Tribunal verdict and allowed Murad Ali Shah to run for elections on PS-73.
