PakistanMazoor Wassan says MQM not to be part of coalition in future

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) would not be part of coalition but sit in the opposition in future, Provincial Minister Mazoor Wassan said on Friday.

Talking to media persons outside Sindh Assembly, Wassan said protest is a democratic right of MQM. The minister declined to comment on cases registered against Lyari people, saying he was in Dubai when cases were registered. He added that Lyari is stronghold of Pakistan Peoples’ Party.

Meanwhile, Agha Siraj Durrani, Provincial Minister for Local Government, said it is time for general elections and not for local bodies election. ‘MQM is a coalition partner and its reservations will be redressed’, he said.
