KARACHI: Some 14 more people were shot dead over the past 24 hours as spate of violence including incidents of drive-by shootings and dumping of dead bodies continued in the city, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Sunday.

According to reports, firing incidents occurred in Hussain Abad, Sohrab Goth, Azizabad, Manghopir, SITE area, North Nazimabad and New Karachi areas.

A doctor among 13 other people was gunned down by the miscreants in the “target-killing” while a dead body was recovered in Baldia Town suburb late on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in an overnight search operation police and paramilitary Rangers rounded up more than 20 suspected criminals in Baldia and SITE area, recovering illegal arms from their possession.
