KARACHI: Dozens of suspected criminals and proclaimed offenders have been arrested during a crackdown against lawbreakers in different areas of Karachi, police claimed on Sunday.

Over the past 24 hours, a deadly spate of violence in the city has claimed at least 14 lives.

An operation was conducted by East Zone police in various restive parts of the city and held some 38 accused, including 15 proclaimed offenders, police officials said. Illegal arms were also recovered from the suspected criminals, they added.
