ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decided on Thursday to ban the electricity and gas defaulters from contesting the upcoming general elections, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported. In this regard, the ECP would contact Sui Gas Company and WAPDA, sources said.

According to sources, candidates’ nomination papers will be approved after a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is obtained from Sui Gas and WAPDA. The procedure for approval will be decided by Sui Gas, WAPDA and ECP officials.
