ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Christians in Pakistan and across the globe are celebrating Christmas Day on Friday with festivity and religious zeal.

The celebrations began on Christmas Eve with prayer services in the churches. The festivities include distributing gifts among children, singing hymns, prayers, and attending Mass.

Christians offered special prayers, and decorated Christmas trees at homes and places of worship.

In Pakistan also, Christmas trees have been built and the churches have been illuminated with special lights.

The Christian community living across Pakistan have also decorated their homes and streets with Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, ornaments, tableware, lights, stockings etc.

Gifts are also kept besides Christmas trees for children.

Security arrangements for Christmas Day finalized

Meanwhile, numerous police officials and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are performing security duty at different churches across Pakistan where the Christian community are participating in ceremonies being organized in connection with Christmas.

Likewise, Walk-through gates have been installed at various locations for entry in Churches on Christmas Day.
