RAWALPINDI: A special anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday dismissed the interim bail of Pervez Musharraf’ spokesman Dr Amjad Malik in lawyers torture case and ordered his arrest.
ATC judge Chaudhry Habib ur Rehman heard the case involving thrashing of lawyers inside court premises last week.
District Bar Secretary Zaheer Arshad Malik told the court that lawyers were beaten up inside the court premises at the behest of Dr. Amjad.
The court summoned Dr. Amjad and his lawyer, who failed to show up. On this the judge directed Civil Line Police to arrest the accused.
