KARACHI/ LONDON: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain hailing the statement given by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on the occasion of Yaum-e-Shuhada yesterday, said the army chief manifested courage on sensitive issues.

In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain said General Kayani with his courageous stance, proved himself to be a valiant solider who is all the time geared up for the defence of his homeland.

The Army Chief Kayani’s statement imparted a renewed courage to the nation and helped whittle down the misgivings to a large extent, the Muttahida chief said adding Kayani’s judicious viewpoint made the entire nation proud.

It should be mentioned here that General Kayani said the general elections would be held on its scheduled time on May 11, asserting he reiterated there should remain no doubt about it.
