“We share the desire of Saudi Arabia for peaceful settlement of the crisis,” the statement said.

Earlier, the Saudi Arabia-led coalition ended its month long bombing campaign against Shia Houthi rebels in Yemen.

In a statement carried by Saudi State News Agency SPA, it was stated that the operation achieved its goals, removing the threat to Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries especially in terms of heavy weapons.

Meanwhile talking to newsmen, the Saudi spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed Asseri said that now the “Operation Restore Hope” has begun which will focus on a political solution in Yemen.

However, he added, the coalition will continue to prevent the Houthi militias from moving or undertaking any operations inside Yemen.
