Pakistan, Turkey agree to further diversify trade relations

ANKARA, Turkey: Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to further diversify trade relations between the two countries and encourage joint ventures.

   

In a meeting with the Turkish minister for environment and urbanization Idris Güllüce in Ankara, the commerce minister Khurram Dastgir said that Pakistan will continue to seek Turkish assistance in major infrastructure projects including building 500,000 low cost housing units planned across the country.

The commerce minister urged leading Turkish firms to participate in the international tenders for large hydroelectric, coal fired and alternate energy projects.

The Turkish minister offered to share Turkish experience in urban regeneration, waste water treatment, climate change, land registry and mapping, housing and disaster management.
