LAHORE, Pakistan: The second phase of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Player Draft ended at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore on Tuesday with veteran batsman Younis Khan remained unpicked by all five franchises.

The biggest event in Pakistan Cricket history will take place in Dubai and Sharjah from February 4 to 23 next year. Five teams including Islamabad United, Karachi Tigers, Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators are participating in the event.
Each team required to have a 16-member squad with a total of five foreign players; however, it could pick upto 20 players but those four additional players will be categorized as supplementary picks.
Earlier on Monday, the players from Platinum, Diamond and Gold categories were picked with top players Shahid Afridi went to Peshawar Zalmi, Shoaib Malik to Karachi Tigers, Kevin Pietersen to Quetta Gladiators, Chris Gayle to Lahore Qalandars and Shane Watson to Islamabad United.
The players from Silver and Emerging categories were picked by franchises today.
Younis Khan who led the Pakistani side win the only World T20 title in 2009 was not picked by any franchise.

While speaking at PSL players Draft ceremony at the NCA in Lahore on Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan said that Pakistan Super League would benefit country’s cricket in a big way by strengthening different tiers of the game.
“It is going to be a gateway as far promotion of Pakistan cricket is concerned, no matter it is T20, one day or test cricket,” he said.
