ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting the Courthouse Complex in Istanbul, Turkiye.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the brotherly people and government of Turkiye and pray for the swift and complete recovery of those injured in this heinous attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families,” said a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

The statement said that Pakistan reaffirms its resolute solidarity with Turkiye in its fight against scourge of terrorism.

Earlier in the morning, two persons affiliated with the leftist armed group Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front (DHKP-C) attacked a security checkpoint outside the Istanbul’s Courthouse Complex, injuring six people including three police officers.
