ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted the Baghdad International Airport and caused damage to civilian infrastructure.

On January 28, 2022, at least six rockets landed in the Baghdad International Airport compound and near an adjacent US airbase, causing damage to one runway and two civilian planes but no casualties

In a statement on Monday, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asim Iftikhar Ahmad said that Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly government and people of Iraq.

The Spokesperson said that no cause justifies such wanton acts of violence.

“We reiterate our strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he said.
