ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi on Tuesday said Nepal is Pakistan’s important friend and a close regional partner as the two countries enjoy excellent cooperation in diverse fields.

Talking to the outgoing ambassador of Nepal Bharat Raj Paudyal who paid a farewell call on him at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Fatemi emphasized that the two countries had stood with each other during difficult times.

   

Fatemi highlighted the Prime Minister’s initiatives for regional peace and stability, and his strong commitment towards maintaining cordial relations with all neighbouring countries.

He commended the invaluable contribution made by the outgoing ambassador towards further strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Nepal, during the course of his stay in Pakistan.

Ambassador Paudyal expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and support extended to him by the government of Pakistan during the tenure of his assignment, which he described as most pleasant and productive.
