RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf called on the Minister for Defence Lt General (retd) Anwar Ali Hyder at the Ministry of Defence in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

The defence minister felicitated the CNS on assuming the charge of the Chief of the Naval Staff.Pakistan Navy well prepared to meet any internal or external challenges: Naval Chief

During the meeting, professional matters of mutual interest and Pakistan Navy’s role in regional maritime security in the Indian Ocean region came under discussion.

The defence minister shared government’s resolve to strengthen and enhance the capability of its armed forces, so as to affectively cope with the prevailing challenges and ensure fool proof defence of the national frontiers.

The minister expressed that under the able Command of Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Pakistan Navy would emerge as a superior force to meet current and future challenge.

The Naval Chief briefed the Minister of the current developments in the region and apprised him of the operational preparedness of Pakistan Navy.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf expressed resolve that Pakistan Navy is well prepared to meet any internal or external challenges.
