ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik has said that the first-ever Pakistan Minerals Summit 2023 aims to increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the Country and move from ‘Dust to Development’.

In his address at the Summit in Islamabad on Tuesday, the minister of state said that Pakistan has estimated reserves worth of US$ 6 trillion of minerals, gold, copper, coal, other precious metals.

Musadik Malik invited foreign investors to invest in different sectors of Pakistan particularly in minerals and mining sector.

The minister said that prosperity, growth, development and above all equity for regions which have left behind in the race of development is our dream and minerals are just tools to achieve this goal.

Dr. Musadik Malik said that we want to increase our exports from US$ 1 billion to US$ 5 billion and employment in mineral sector from 300,000 to 600,000 in next few years.

The state minister also thanked the national and international delegations for attending the Pakistan Minerals Summit to take the Country towards development and prosperity.

The first-ever Pakistan Minerals Summit 2023 is taking place at Serena Hotel in Islamabad with the theme ‘Dust to Development: Investment Opportunities in Pakistan’, aiming to unlock Pakistan’s valuable mineral resources, propelling the Country towards rapid development.

The Summit will bring together international investors, mining industry giants, corporate leaders, and government stakeholders to create a roadmap for tapping into the tremendous mineral riches the Country offers today.
