ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The High Commissioner for Pakistan in Dhaka Imran Ahmed Siddiqui met the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Friday.

The High Commissioner briefed the Foreign Minister on the High Commission’s efforts to promote bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The Foreign Minister gave special instructions to the High Commissioner in this regard.

The High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui thanked the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi for his instructions and assured him that his team in Bangladesh would do its best to implement them.

Separately, the British High Commissioner to Islamabad Dr. Christian Turner also met the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and discussed bilateral and regional issues including the Afghan peace process in detail.



Talking to him, Qureshi said that Pakistan attaches special importance to bilateral relations with the United Kingdom.

In the meeting, both sides agreed to further enhance relations in all areas of mutual interest.
