ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan gives importance to its relations with Kuwait and desires to expand relations with it in all the fields.

The president made these remarks when the Ambassador Designate to Kuwait Ghulam Dastagir called on him in Islamabad on Monday.

President Mamnoon urged the ambassador to truly portray the liberal investment policies of the government abroad.

The brotherly relations between Pakistan and Kuwait are marked by growing trade as well as close cooperation in various sectors including trade, commerce and defence.

Kuwait hosts a large Pakistani community including labour which is making positive contributions to the development of Kuwait and is sending remittances supporting Pakistan’s economy as well.

Meanwhile, talking to an Irish delegation from University of Dublin in Islamabad, President Mamnoon Hussain said that establishment of training institutions for effectively facing the natural calamities is need of the hour in order to contain damages.

The president said that Pakistan needs trained medical staff and workers to adequately meet the challenges of natural disasters and new diseases.
