DHAKA, Bangladesh: The President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid has expressed the hope that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh will further grow in the years ahead.

His remarks came when the High Commissioner of Pakistan Imran Ahmed Siddiqui presented his credentials to him in an elegant ceremony held at the Presidential Palace (Banga Bhaban) in Dhaka.

While presenting his credentials, the High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui conveyed to the president the greetings and good wishes of the President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, and expressed the desire of the government of Pakistan to further strengthen the cordial ties between the two Countries.

The Bangladesh president warmly welcomed the high commissioner, felicitated him on his appointment and assured him his full cooperation and support in the discharge of his diplomatic responsibilities.

President Abdul Hamid fondly recalled his visit to Pakistan in 2011 as the Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament, and hoped that Pakistan-Bangladesh bilateral ties will further grow in the years ahead.
