ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan and Azerbaijan on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Disaster Management Cooperation in Islamabad, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
The Signing Ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov signed the MoU.
The Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz was also present on the occasion.
Under the agreement, Pakistan and Azerbaijan will assist each other in coping with emergencies and natural calamities.
Earlier, the two foreign ministers held delegation-level talks and had an in-depth exchange of views on the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Azerbaijan bilateral ties, regional & international issues as well as cooperation in multiple areas.
