RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad has appreciated Pakistan’s untiring efforts for facilitating the process towards the mutual objective of peace in the region.
The appreciation was echoed when he held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR said that during the meeting, the regional security situation, the Afghan peace process with particular reference to border management, and the way forward for lasting peace in Afghanistan were discussed.
