JIZZAKH, Uzbekistan: The six-day Uzbekistan-Turkey-Pakistan Joint Military Exercise “Commonwealth Shield – 2019” ended at the Forish Training Camp in Jizzakh region, Uzbekistan.

The Joint Military Exercise “Commonwealth Shield – 2019” began on April 22 and ended on April 27.

Representatives of the armed forces of Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Turkey conducted an area reconnaissance (on April 23). We discussed organizational issues for conducting special operations,” the press service of the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan said.

During the exercises, servicemen of Uzbek, Turkish and Pakistan’s armed forces were faced with the task of developing the most effective ways and methods to prevent and combat conditional threats at regional and global levels.

The armed forces of three Countries exchanged experience and knowledge in conducting special operations in remote mountainous terrain.

It should be recalled that in October 2017, joint exercises of the mountain-rifle subunits of Uzbekistan and Russia were held at the “Forish” training camp, and in July 2018, joint exercises of the special units of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took place.
