RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid was also present during the meeting.

In the meeting, matters of mutual interest, overall regional situation including the Afghan peace process and Pakistan-Uzbekistan bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.

Both reiterated the desire to further enhance bilateral relations including efforts for peace and security in the region.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s positive role for regional peace and stability, especially the Afghan peace process and pledged to keep working for better relations between two brotherly Countries.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan paid farewell call on the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza at Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi, as per the ISPR.

The Chairman JCSC thanked CAS for his services to the Nation during a long and illustrious career.
