RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan desires to maintain the tradition of bilateral engagement with the United States.

Talking to the US Charge d’ Affairs to Pakistan Angela Aggeler who met him at the Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Friday, the COAS said that Pakistan wishes for long term and multi-domain enduring relationship with the US.

In the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest, regional & current security situation in Afghanistan, and bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The US dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for peace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan Peace Process.
