RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Selection Board of Pakistan Army has reportedly approved the promotion of three Major Generals to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Three Major Generals – who have been promoted – include the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISRR) Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari, and Major General Inayat Hussain.

Meanwhile, the Corps Commander General Babar Iftikhar presided over the investiture ceremony of the Karachi Corps on Friday.
The ISPR said that Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Basalat awards were conferred on army officers and soldiers during the ceremony.
At least 14 officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) while 19 were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) for rendering services to the armed forces.
The next of kin of nine soldiers received Tamgha-i-Basalat on behalf of the martyrs.
A large number of senior army officers and families of awardees attended the ceremony
The chief guest General Iftikhar also interacted with families of martyrs and paid tribute to their services.
