Rawalpindi, Pakistan: A group of 60-70 terrorists from across the border from bases in Afghanistan attacked troops undertaking fencing effort along Pak Afghan Border, in Alwara, North Wazirstan.

According to information released by Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Armed Forces, the attack was effectively responded and repulsed by Pakistan troops in area and a number of terrorists were killed and injured.

However, in exchange of fire 3 Pakistani soldiers including Lance Naik Ali, Lance Naik Nazeer and Sep Imdad ullah embraced Shahadat while 7 soldiers got injured.

While Pakistan security forces are solidifying border security through fencing and construction of forts to deny liberty of action to the terrorists, Afghan Security Forces and the authorities need to have more effective control in border region to support Pakistan’s efforts as well as deny use of Afghan soil against Pakistan. Pakistan’s fencing effort shall continue despite all such impediments.

Pakistan Army has consolidated Pak-Afghan border as a safe area now by fencing around 1,000 Km. Work is in progress on total fencing of Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Martyrdom of 3 soldiers in an attack from terrorists from Afghanistan is a new event but a routine news because terrorists living inside Afghanistan are constantly attacking Pakistan Army since Pakistan Army won war against terrorists and TTP members ran from Pakistan and disappeared inside Afghanistan from there, they are attacking Pakistan Army. However, Afghan Army and US led forces inside Afghanistan are apparently helpless to stop such terrorism from Afghan soil to inside Pakistan.
