RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Six Major Generals of Pakistan Army have been promoted to the Rank of Lieutenant General, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Those promoted include Major General Akhtar Nawaz, Major General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, Major General Asif Ghafoor, Major General Salman Fayyaz Ghani, Major General Sarfraz Ali, and Major General Muhammad Ali.

Meanwhile, Lt General Majid Ehsan has been posted as the Inspector General Arms, Lt General Syed Muhammad Adnan as the Inspector General Training & Evaluation, Lt General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat as the Military Secretary, and Lt General Asif Ghafoor as the Inspector General Communication & Information Technology.

Moreover, Lt General Muhammad Abdul Aziz has been posted as the Corps Commander Lahore, Lt General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf as the Corps Commander Multan, Lt General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum as the Corps Commander Karachi, Lt General Khalid Zia as the Corps Commander Bahawalpur, Lt General Sarfraz Ali as the Commander Southern Command, and Lt General Muhammad Ali as the Commander of Army’s Strategic Forces Command (ASFC).
