Pakistan Army, Navy, and FC troops are busy in rescue and relief efforts in Balochistan’s Gwadar district since the last 96 hours after the provincial coastal belt was hit by heavy rainfalls, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement on Friday, the ISPR said that special relief efforts are being undertaken in isolated villages of Kulanch, Sardasht, and Sunstar valleys.

The ISPR said that Gwadar old Town also remained the focus of the dewatering operation.

It said that Army/FC/Pakistan Coast Guards have established medical camps and are distributing rations to flood victims.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has provided tents, blankets, and rations through the Army aviation helicopters in remote areas.

The ISPR said that the damage assessment is also underway to reach out to stranded families and channelize/render relief to far-flung areas.

Furthermore, it said that PAF C 130 sorties loaded with rations/ clothing have also been flown to assist the population of Pasni.
