RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan values its relations with Japan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Talking to the Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Mr. Kuninori Matsuda who met him at the Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, the COAS acknowledged Japan’s efforts for regional stability.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation, and measures to enhance Pakistan-Japan bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.

The visiting dignitary praised Pakistan’s role for peace and stability in the region particularly the Afghan peace process and vowed to further enhance ties with Pakistan.
