RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A contingent of Pakistan armed forces participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Multinational Military Exercise Kavkaz 2020 in the Russian region of Astrakhan on Saturday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement, the Director-General ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the Kavkaz 2020 Exercise is aimed at assessing the ability of troops to react to various challenges and learn from each other’s experiences.

The week-long exercise will commence on September 21 and conclude on September 26.
