RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan army has announced new postings and appointments as Major General Babar Iftikhar has been appointed as the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Whereas Major General Asif Ghafoor has been posted as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 40 Infantry Division OKara.

Major General Babar Iftikhar had previously been serving as the GOC 1 Armoured Division Multan.

Prior to him, Major General Asif Ghafoor had been serving as the DG ISPR since December 2016.

In a statement, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that “Alhamdulillah. Thanks to everyone I have remained associated with during the tenure. My very special thanks to Media all across. Can’t thank enough fellow Pakistanis for their love and support. Best wishes to new DG ISPR for his success.”
