Pakistan ArmyCommander UK Strategic Command meets CJCSC

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Commander UK Strategic Command General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders met the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

In the meeting, matters related to changing geostrategic environment and further strengthening of security and defence cooperation between the two Countries were discussed.

Both sides also deliberated upon the prevailing international and regional environment.

General Sir Patrick Sanders lauded the professionalism of Pakistan armed forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Separately, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) & Commander Sri Lankan Army General Shavendra L H Silva also met General Nadeem Raza and exchanged views on matters of bilateral professional interest, regional security situation and further strengthening of security and defence cooperation between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan armed forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in fight against terrorism.

Earlier upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned out tri-services contingent presented ‘Guard of Honour’ to the visiting dignitary.
