RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan army on Monday killed four high profile terrorists in an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Frontier Region Tank, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, the ISPR said that the intelligence based operation was conducted in Ping area of Frontier Region Tank.

   

The IPSR said that terrorists belonged to Asmatullah Shaheen Bhittani Group of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The group was involved in target killings, extortion and kidnaping for ransom in Dera Ismail Khan, Tank and surrounding areas.

Following four wanted high profile terrorists were killed by Pakistan army

  1. Commander Zaman @Toofan
  2. Naib Commander Umar s/o Asmat ullah Shaheen
  3. Commander Wasi Ullah
  4. Commander Zulam din @ Zulmat

The IPSR said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of terrorists.

Asmatullah Shaheen was important member of TTP Shura and was killed by another TTP faction due to internal rift during 2014.
