ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Indian forces have arrested over 79 Youth, Hurriyet leaders and activists in unlawful house raids in Occupied Kashmir during last 10 days, the Foreign Office said on Thursday.

In his opening remarks at the weekly media briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said that family of arrested Kashmiri Youth and Hurriyet activists remain unaware of the whereabouts.

The spokesman said that Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir continue to be brutalized by the Indian occupation forces.

The foreign office spokesman said that since February 23, many innocent Kashmiris have been martyred by the Indian forces while scores have been added to a long list of thousands of pellet guns victims with eye injuries. He said that 156 people were injured after Indian forces used brute force, bullets, pellets and teargas shells.

Zakaria moreover reiterated that terrorist attack on a hospital in the Afghan Capital was a cowardly act which we have strongly condemned.

On Wednesday, 30 people were killed and over 60 injured when gunmen stormed a military hospital near US Embassy in Kabul.

“We pray for the victims and express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families,” the spokesman said.

Talking about the recent two-day official of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Kuwait, the foreign office spokesman said that it was a successful visit during which both sides expressed keen interest in strengthening bilateral relations in diverse fields.
