RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The German Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Bernhard Stephan Schlagheck paid a farewell call to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Pakistan army’s general headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, the overall regional situation, and Pakistan-Germany bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.

The COAS said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Germany.

The Army Chief thanked visiting dignitary for his services and appreciated his contributions for fostering strong ties between the two Countries and support towards defence/security cooperation.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and pledged to play his role to further enhance cooperation between both countries.
