ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that the opposition parties were politicizing the Panama leaks just for point-scoring.
The government was ready for transparent and neutral investigation on Panama reports from any state institution, he said while talking to a news channel.
The minister said that some PML-N leaders have been assigned to consult with parliamentary leaders of opposition parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to evolve a consensus to form an independent inquiry commission.
He said Term of References (ToRs) have been prepared which depict the high credibility of the commission.
Rana Tanveer said that the opposition parties were not showing seriousness in the formation of commission, adding that they were just doing politics on the Panama reports.
He alleged that the PTI Chairman Imran Khan had invested Shaukat Khanum charity amount in off shore companies.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP leader) Senator Saeed Ghani appealed the Prime Minister to form the commission with the consensus of all political parties.
