Why Imran Khan is generating hate against United States, World Bank, IMF and European Union?

Taha Aslam

Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan looks very angry on everybody including United States of America, World Bank, International Monitoring Fund (IMF), Parliament of Pakistan and senior politicians including Mahmood Khan Achkzai,  Chairman of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, a Pasthun Nationalist Party based in Balochistan, Pakistan. Achkzai has a long history for his commitment with democracy, parliament and federation of Pakistan.

Imran Khan was also rude and rough on some people during his speeches today including Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Inspector General of Police of Islamabad and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah. He was also abusive on Mualana Fazlur Rehman Chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI). Imran Khan and his leadership is shocked with the response of National Assembly in favour of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Imran believes that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Leader of National Assembly are supporting each other for their vested interests. Imran has 35 seats in 342 House of National Assembly and he is not even in position to lead opposition in National Assembly. Imran wants to disband National Assembly that on today categorically and unanimously passed a resolution asking Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif “NOT to Resign”.

This is first time opposition parties and treasury benches (government) are on same page and supporting each other against any attempt to destabilize democracy in Pakistan.

Imran Khan and his leadership including Shireen Mazari have personal and serious issues with United States of America and Shireen Mazari created serious problems for Department of States in past.

Shireen Mazari was a journalist and Foreign Office expert before joining Imran Khan as his party Information Secretary. According to Wikipedia, when she was Editor of English daily The Nation Islamabad, a front page article titled “Journalists as spies in FATA?” was published November 5, 2009, accusing the South Asian correspondent of “The Wall Street Journal”, Matthew Rosenberg, as an agent of CIA, Israeli intelligence, and the U.S. military contractor Blackwater. Wall Street Journal Managing Editor Robert Thomson wrote to Mazari soon after the Rosenberg article appeared. Wall Street Journal’s Daniel Pearl, kidnapped and killed in 2002, was labelled a Jewish spy in a similar manner by some sections of Pakistani media. Twenty-one international news editors from Islamabad’s foreign correspondent community also signed a letter of protest, criticizing the unsubstantiated article for compromising Matt Rosenberg’s security.

On November 20, 2009, “The Nation” published yet another front page story with a photograph of what it described as “Mysterious US nationals”. “According to a source in another investigation agency, the foreigners seemingly belonged to the US spy agency CIA. It was evident from the fact that two police commandos were escorting them, the source added.”However, it turned out that this “Mysterious US National” was in fact the award-winning Australian photojournalist Daniel Berehulak, who works for Getty Images. Hugh Pinney, Getty’s senior director of photography, wrote to Shireen Mazari on 21 November 2009. Both Rosenberg and Berahulak have left Pakistan. US sources believe that Mazri has a history of generating hatred against United States and its allies.

While Imran Khan as Chairman of PTI managed to stop NATO and ISAF supply route on November 25, 2013 at the top of the time when ISAF was busy in its war against terror.  He himself led thousands of supporters in a protest and blocked a road in leading to a border crossing point used by trucks carrying NATO supplies in and out of Afghanistan. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) welcomed his act of stopping NATO supply.

Imran believes that IMF and World Bank are providing loans for development work to Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif to support his government to stay in power. He has demanded IMF and World Bank to stop its financial support to Pakistan immediately and threaten them that he will not pay loans back if he becomes Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Imran Khan during speeches directly involved US Ambassador Richard G. Olson to supporting Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and asked Richard G. Olson to stay away from Pakistani politics.
