From Mukti Bahini to PTM — A journey through history

The statement of the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in which he said that “Afghan government has serious concerns about the violence perpetrated against peaceful protestors and civil activists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan” is similar of a statement of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi which he delivered while addressing 2014 Independence Day of India at Red Fort in New Delhi.

Modi expressed his love for Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) by stating that he was concerned about the Baloch people.

Is there any difference between the statements of Ashraf Ghani of this week with Modi’s of years ago? Of course there is no difference in terms of their content and context.

The involvement of India in terror-related activities in Pakistan is beyond any doubt and question; rather it is a stated fact. The band is joined by President Ashraf Ghani who now has included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with Balochistan into grand game. BLA was crushed in the past and now operating from outside Pakistan.

From Mukti Bahini to PTM ---- A journey through history
Indian RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested inside Balochistan in Mashkel near the border region of Chaman in March 2016 during a counterintelligence raid conducted by Pakistani security forces. Jadev also known by Yadev in his video recorded confession confirmed that RAW is behind terrorism all over Pakistan

I fear that Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is being used by anti-Pakistan forces against the state of Pakistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Does India plan a new “Operation Jackpot” which it launched in early 60s in former East Pakistan (which is now Bangladesh)?

In East Pakistan, Awami League of Mujibur Rehman formed militia units of students including the Mujib Bahini, the Kader Bahini and Hemayet Bahini. Consequently, these Bahinis were mingled under the name of “Mukti Bahini” which launched civil war against Pakistani forces. The then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi openly supported Mukti Bahini in her statements and showed concern about wellbeing of Bengalis as now President Ashraf Ghani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are doing so for Balochis and Pushtuns.

Workers of Mukti Bahini were trained for civil war in India and it was similar of what National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s premier intelligence agency – is reportedly providing to PTM followers from Afghanistan. The Indian networking was providing space for Mukti Bahini in western media during late years of 60s till East Pakistan was converted into Bangladesh. Now PTM is being placed in western media not through only by Indian networking but also of Afghan networking.

Does Pakistan understand this situation carefully or it is still in the trance of Pak-Afghan Bhai Bhai narrative? Only time will answer this serious question.
