RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Four more convicted terrorists belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were brought to justice on Thursday as they were hanged to death at a Jail of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The executed terrorists were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism including killing of innocent civilians, destruction of educational institutions, attacking armed forces of Pakistan, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and Saidu Sharif Airport.

They had been awarded death sentences by Military Courts after they admitted their offences before the Magistrates and the trial Courts.

Detail of each case is as under;

  1. Bakht-e-Ameer S/O Ameer Zareen: He was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan which resulted in death and injuries to officers and soldiers. He was also in possession of explosives.
  2. Asghar Khan S/O Ahmad Jan: He was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan, LEAs and destruction of educational institution which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers and civilians.
  3. Muhammad Nawaz S/O Gul Muhammad: He was involved in attacking armed forces of Pakistan which resulted in death of soldiers. He was also in possession of fire-arms and explosives.
  4. Mushtaq Ahmed S/O Muhammad Miraj: He was involved in attacking Saidu Sharif Airport, killing employees of Metrological Department and destruction of an educational institution which resulted in death of civilians and injuries to soldiers. He was also in possession of fire-arms and explosives.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
