RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Security Forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan and killed a leader of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR said that the IBO was conducted on confirmation of the presence of terrorists in the area.

The ISPR said that during the exchange of fire, the terrorist commander Hassan alias Sajna of the TTP Hafiz Gul Bahadur group was killed.

It said that Hassan alias Sajna was involved in the killing of four women workers yesterday in Mir Ali.

The killed terrorist remained involved in terrorists activities against the Security Forces and peaceful civilians including IED attacks, kidnapping for ransom, target killing, and extortion. He was also involved in recruiting terrorists.

The ISPR said that a cache of arms and weapons were also recovered from the terrorists.

The area sanitization was carried out by the Security Forces.
