RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Terrorists opened fire on a Frontier Corps (FC) Post in Balochistan’s Ketch district last night, resulting in the martyrdom of one Soldier.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the FC Balochistan Post was established for the security of N-85 Highway near Hoshab area of Ketch district.

The ISPR said that the terrorists’ attack followed by an exchange of fire left Sepoy Asad Mehdi martyred.

It said that the area has been cordoned off and escape routes have been blocked to apprehend the fleeing terrorists.

The ISPR further said that the area’s sanitization and the search operation is also in progress.

In a statement, the Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed strongly condemned the terrorists attack on the FC Post in Balochistan, and said that it was a cowardly act by the Country’s enemies and those involved in it will be awarded an exemplary punishment.

The interior minister also prayed for the martyred Soldier.
