RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: As part of the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, the Security Forces have conducted Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) Khyber and South Waziristan agencies of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA).
The Security forces recovered suicide jackets, explosive cylinder, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Anti-tank mines and detonators as a result of IBOs, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Tuesday.
The ISPR said that a large quantity of arms and ammunition of various caliber including SMGs, pistols, 12.7 & 14.5 mm, Rockets was also recovered from an abandoned terrorist compound in village Lalejai and Weshtonai area of South Waziristan agency.
Likewise, according to the ISPR, the Punjab Rangers police and intelligence agencies also conducted Joint search operations and IBOs in various areas of the Province.
The ISPR said that Joint search operations and IBOs were conducted in Lahore, Attock, Islamabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.
During those Operations, suspects were apprehended along with arms and ammunition.
