Operation Radd-ul-FasaadPakistan bleeds again: 15 persons martyred as blast rocks Quetta again

QUETTA, Pakistan: Quetta once again was rocked by an explosion on Friday evening, three days after a blast claimed two lives in the Capital of Country’s southwestern Balochistan Province, reports DND News Agency from Islamabad citing his correspondence of Quetta.

The blast went off inside a mosque in Ghausabad area of Satellite Town, Quetta, when the people were offering Maghrib prayer.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amanullah and the prayer leader (Imam) along with 13 other persons were martyred in the blast while 19 persons received injuries.

There are fears that deaths/causalities may go up because some injured – rushed to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment – are critically wounded.

Intelligence networking circles say that involvement of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) also known as Daesh cannot be ruled out. However, the real situation would clear after thorough investigation.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has directed for report about the blast and expressed his condolences with families of victims. He stated that Pakistan’s resolve to fight terrorism is unshaken and the nation gave sacrifices to establish peace in the Country.

Soon after the blast, the security forces immediately cordoned off the area.

Earlier on Tuesday, two persons were killed and 14 were injured when a bomb planted in a motorcycle was detonated through a remote control device near a vehicle of Frontier Corps (FC) on Quetta’s Mekangi road.
