HANGU, Pakistan: Five terrorists of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) including a key commander were killed by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in an intelligence based operation in Orakzai agency on Wednesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement, the ISPR said that the intelligence based operation was conducted as part of Rudd-ul-Fasaad in Utmankhel area of Lower Orakzai agency.

The ISPR said that during the operation, an exchange of fire erupted between the security forces and terrorists at Endarkhola Marajan Check Post. Resultantly, five terrorists of TTP including a key commander Shah Dauran were killed.

However, Frontier Corps Major Mudassir and Sepoy Matiullah were martyred while another Sepoy Shaukat was injured in the exchange of fire, the ISPR said.

The bodies of martyred Major and Sepoy as well as injured Sepoy were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Kohat.

The ISPR said that heavy arms and ammunition were recovered from the possession of terrorists.
