Government of PakistanOnly PML-N a reliable political party: PM Khaqan

SHEIKHPURA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was the only reliable political party whereas the Opposition leaders were banking on hollow slogans only.

In his address at the gas pipeline inauguration ceremony in Manawala, the prime minister said the PML-N government delivered everywhere in the Country.

Khaqan Abbasi said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), new airports and Motorways were achievements of PML-N.

The prime minister said projects worth over Rs 10 billion had been completed in Sheikhupura district. He said Manawala would be given the status of Tehsil. He said they had overcame gas load shedding, and provided thousands of new connections.

The prime minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction of 6-lane Overhead Bridge at Imamia Colony Railway Crossing Shahdara today.

The project starts from the Shahdara and ends approximately 4.4 km South of Kala Shah Kaku Interchange. Total length of the project is 1.7 km and it consists of construction of Railway Overhead Bridge, approach ramps, service roads and 02 pedestrian Crossing Bridges.

The bridge will facilitate an uninterrupted flow of traffic on G.T. Road (N-5) at Imamia Colony near Shahdara and will eliminate the existing congestion and delays. It will also provide an alternate route to the traffic to be emanated from Shahdara and heading to Lahore.

The fast and direct route will save travel time and fuel consumption and ensure enhanced safety for road traffic as well as train operations.
