ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Friday sent former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) chairman Tauqir Sadiq to Adiala jail on judicial remand for 14 days in OGRA corruption case.

Sadiq was presented before the ATC on Friday under stringent security measures following the completion of his 67 days physical remand.

During today’s hearing, counsel for Tauqir Sadiq filed two applications in the court with regard to allocation of A-Class in the jail and provision of security to the accused.

In response, the court remarked “ let the accused reach the jail first. Matter of allowing A-Class in jail will be seen later.

On the other side, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prayed the court to grant judicial remand of the accused. The court ordered for sending Sadiq to jail on 14 days judicial remand.

The court ordered the prosecutor NAB to prepare jail warrant to send the accused to jail.
