ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Press Club (NPC) will arrange a condolence reference for veteran journalist Idrees Bakhtiar who passed away in Karachi on May 29.

The condolence reference will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday (June 17) at NPC in Islamabad to pay glowing tribute to late Idrees Bakhtiar.

The distinguished personalities from politics, journalism and literate will speak at the condolence reference, and pay tribute to services of Idrees Bakhtiar.

The veteran journalist was 75, and suffering from heart issues. He breathed his last at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Karachi, wherein he was under treatment.

Idrees Bakhtiar was awarded the Pride of Performance Award (Tamgha-i-Husn-i-Karkardagi) by the Government of Pakistan two years ago.
